I saw this at a screening in Sunset Gower Studio a while ago. It was hands-down my favorite! I was really surprised! It was the only drama in a pool of comedies at the festival which was a bit strange. The Directing, Acting, Story and Editing was all phenomenal. I've seen a couple shorts that dealt with the social/psychological problems Parallel Tracks tackled, but the way it was portrayed in this film was really creative and artsy - in the best sense. I think this was a student film, but it didn't feel like one at all. The Director really knew what he was doing. My only complaint is the budget. It felt like they were saving money. Still, it's amazing to see such a simple story be so profound.
