Film was partially made at Ball State School of Art in Muncie, IN.
The film was mostly completed and animated at the director's home due to the global pandemic.
The name Holloway is director Jennifer Hathaway's maternal great-grandmother's maiden name. The pill bottle has the name Lewis on it, that is a nod to the director's late paternal grandfather.
The animatic (moving storyboards) took 9 months to complete.
The story is based on true events. Director, Jennifer Hathaway was intensely bullied in middle school and in high school. She began a suicide attempt at the tender age of thirteen, but her Golden Retriever, Penny, licked her hand and stopped her from going through with it.
