Netflix often cancels scripted TV shows, and it always enrages fans. Recently, a popular young adult series got renewed for a third season, which sounded great until the realization arrived that it would be the final season. Naturally, fans are very sad about it, and some of them expressed their anger.
Netflix Cancels Shows & Fans Always Feel The Loss
It’s not just people watching TV from home who get upset when streaming networks cancel shows. Four years ago, TLC’s Outdaughtered starlet Blayke Busby was heartbroken because Alexa & Katie ended after four seasons. Plenty of people couldn’t understand why an award-nominated Top 10 young adult show would get pulled.

In January last year, Netflix also canceled the K-drama, Juvenile Justice. It only ran for one season, but once again, it seemed very popular. It ranked number one in Netflix’s non-English TV series category when it was first released.

Hong Sang-soo's films have a certain calm quality to them that many have tried to replicate over the years, with mixed results. So you would be forgiven for thinking that director Lim Oh-jeong, who has worked in Hong's directing department on a few of his films including “Tale of Cinema” and “Like You Know It All”, would try to replicate those qualities for her debut feature-length work “Hail to Hell”. However, this couldn't be further from the truth.
Hail to Hell is screening at London Korean Film Festival
The feature opens with a gang of students bullying Sun-woo. Shortly after, Sun-woo and Na-mi, another girl who is bullied by the same gang and the only person Sun-woo can remotely call a friend, go through a silly failed suicide attempt and decide that, instead of taking their lives, they should exact revenge on those that put them through hell.

The success of Korean shows “Vincenzo” and “Squid Game” and Japanese anime such as “Attack on Titan” are justifying Netflix’s heavy spending on Asian film and TV content.

That optimism stands in contrast to investment sentiment in January when Netflix announced its December quarter and 2021 full year data and a spooked the financial community with a cautious (global) first quarter outlook.
Media Partners Asia’ latest note on the company indicates that Netflix could grow Apac revenues by 24 in the current year to December, to 4.1 billion. Subscriber numbers are forecast to climb 20 to 39.1 million. The strongest growth is in Australia, Japan, South Korea and parts of Southeast Asia.
