Dildos, pasties, and steamy makeout sessions take over Tove Lo and Sg Lewis’ new “Heat” music video. On Friday, the singer-producer duo dropped an EP of club-ready collaborations titled Heat and released an Nsfw video for the title track to accompany it.
“We wanted to make something with a similar temperature as Kylie Minogue’s ‘Can’t get you out of my head’…sexy, cool and hypnotic,” Tove says in a press release.

There are many mysteries in Nelly Furtado’s 21-minute Tiny Desk Concert: How far forward did NPR have to move its Tiny Desk to accommodate Furtado and her retinue of eight? Why doesn’t Furtado open her eyes when she sings? And why wouldn’t she want to look and see how cool backup singer Jim Beanz looks singing Timbaland’s “hey-doodoo-dodoo-hey-hey” part of “Say It Right”? How long did they have to practice nailing the seamless segues, like violinist William Lamoureux leading everyone into clapping hands for “Explode”? Did...

Iconic bands Journey and Def Leppard are back together again for the summer.
Beginning in July, the two bands will hit the North American roads for a summer stadium tour. They’re scheduled to start in St. Louis on July 6 and end in Denver on September 8.
Joining them will be the Steve Miller Band, Cheap Trick and Heart.
The summer tour will be a reunion of sorts, as this will not be the first the two bands share the stage. In 2006 and 2018, Journey and Def Leppard toured in North America together.
“We are thrilled to be back on the road in 2024 with so many good friends as part of this tour,” Journey said on their website. “No matter which city you come to this will be an amazing night of music!”

Don’t stop believin’ in the hysteria.
Megaplatinum rock stalwarts Def Leppard and Journey are gearing up to hit the road for a North American summer stadium tour starting July 6 in St. Louis. The 23-show jaunt runs through September 8 in Denver and will feature fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Steve Miller and his band on the bulk of the dates, with Cheap Trick or Heart on the others.
The trek will hit Citi Field in metro New York on August 7 and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on August 25, both featuring Miller. See the full itinerary below.
The two headliners have toured together over the decades, but this is their first co-starring stadium affair. Def Leppard hit the huge U.S. and Canadian venues in 2022 for a Covid-delayed tour with Mötley Crüe in 2022.
San Francisco-based Journey has moved more than 49 million albums in the U.S. alone, paced by their 15 million-selling 1988 Greatest Hits.

Def Leppard Announce Album with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Share Re-Imagined “Animal”: Stream
Def Leppard have teamed with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for the collaborative album Drastic Symphonies, arriving May 19th. A newly re-imagined orchestral version of “Animal” can be streamed now.
The collection features 15 orchestral re-workings of some of Def Leppard’s most iconic tracks, as well as a few deep cuts from their catalog. Rather than performing live alongside the orchestra, a la Metallica’s S&m, Drastic Symphonies is an ambitious studio project, combining specific audio from the original master tapes of the songs, fresh guitar/vocal overdubs, and symphonic arrangements recorded by the Rpo at Abbey Road studios.
As heard on the new version of “Animal,” the results are far from “an orchestra plonked over our previous recordings,” as guitarist Phil Collen put it. At times, you can hear Joe Elliott duetting with his younger self, and the new orchestral mix is a completely different experience than the classic Hysteria track.

Malcolm Marmorstein, screenwriter of the 1970s Disney hits Pete’s Dragon and Return from Witch Mountain and a decade earlier was a key element of the Dark Shadows writing staff when ABC’s gothic soap opera famously introduced vampire character Barnabas Collins, died Saturday in Los Angeles. He was 92.
The cause of death was cancer, his stepdaughter Romy Fleming told Deadline.
A New Jersey native, Marmorstein began his career as a stagehand and stage manager on Broadway, working on such iconic productions as A Streetcar Named Desire with Marlon Brando and Damn Yankees with Gwen Verden.
Before moving to Los Angeles in 1967, Marmorstein began writing for the New York-based soap The Doctors, where he was head writer before being hired away by Dark Shadows creator Dan Curtis in late 1966. During Marmorstein’s early tenure on what was then a failing Jane Eyre-style melodrama, Curtis and his small writing staff began...

Julie Strain is not dead. Collaborator Malibu Bay Films yesterday reported that the prolific B-movie actress had died aged 57. The company now says that they were mistaken.
“The information we received from a trusted source of the community on the status of [Malibu Bay Films] icon #julie strain was found to be False!” the film company posted on Instagram. “We deeply apologize for needlessly upsetting anyone.”
Family members have also taken to social media to deny Strain’s death.
Strain has struggled in recent years with degenerative dementia and lingering effects of a major head trauma suffered in her early 20s during a bad equestrian mishap. A former high school athlete in Pleasant Valley, Ca., the native of nearby Concord endured the difficult road to recovery and then began a career as a model and actress. For many of us, 2018 was the Year of the Leppard. The hard rock band headlined and sold out Madison Square Garden for the first time, got nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and at long last, made their entire catalog available to stream.
Def Leppard marked the occasion at Spotify Studios by recording a cover of one of their live show warmup songs, “Personal Jesus,” by Depeche Mode. It felt like a surprising choice, but the connection between the two disparate Eighties bands is much deeper,...

It's been just under a year since Grimm wrapped its six-year run on NBC, and it looks like series lead David Giuntoli has found his next big hit.
According to Deadline, Giuntoli has landed a lead role in new ABC drama pilot, A Million Little Things.
The series will follow a group of friends who are struggling to make something of themselves. They are all stuck in a rut.
Things change somewhat when one of them dies, and it serves as a catalyst for them to finally start living their lives before it's too late for them.
Giuntoli will take on the role of Eddie, a musician who becomes a music teacher and stay-at-home dad. His life is not going the way he thought it would.
With his marriage on the rocks, he can't help but wonder how different things would have been for him if he made some different choices.

Fox's comedy pilot "Weird Loners" has one of the standout titles of this development season, and its cast is shaping up to be pretty strong as well.
Becki Newton has signed on to play one of the title characters in the pilot, which comes from writer Michael Weithorn (creator of "The King of Queens") and director Jake Kasdan ("New Girl," "Freaks and Geeks"). It's about four social misfits who form a bond with one another via living in the same townhouse in Queens.
Newton's character, Caryn, is a "high-strung" dental hygienist with a tendency to go all-in on relationships way too quickly. Her co-stars thus far are "Happy Endings" alum Zachary Knighton and Nate Torrence ("Hello Ladies," "Super Fun Night"); the fourth member of the core group has yet to be cast.

Greg Grunberg's production company, BandWagon, recently produced a clever commercial for Promescent, a penis enhancement product. Althought we first noticed Greg in the female buddy film "Connie and Carla," he is, of course, best known for starring as Matt Parkman on the NBC television series Heroes, a series that catapulted the actor into the top tier of TV. Grunberg has also appeared on House and Love Bites, and he's been a voice-over actor in Star Trek and also voiced the FBI agent Ethan Thomas in the video game Condemned: Criminal Origins. Acting is not his only area of expertise. Grunberg's imagination and entrepreneurial drive has found success in the world of film and video production and apps like Yowza!!

During their Italian getaway the couple laughed and held hands while taking in the local sites, even stopping by a park and making friends with a sweet Golden Retriever.
