- Walt is having difficulty adjusting to his new life. He does not want to be a criminal and refuses to get into drug manufacturing again. He has an encounter with a police officer who had pulled him over due to the cracked windshield on his car. Walter tries to argue that the windshield is cracked due to the debris from the airplane crash. The police office proceeds to write Walter a citation since the car is unsafe to drive in this condition. Walter gets livid and starts arguing with the police officer. Walter is pepper sprayed in his eyes and arrested. Walter manages to avoid charges, courtesy of brother-in-law Hank's intervention.
Hank also takes note of the burned down truck with charred bodies all around it. Hank knows that the truck crossed over into US from Mexico and wants to find out what it was transporting. The charred bodies represent a cartel type brutal action.
Skyler will not let him return home, and Walt, Jr. (RJ Mitte) is having trouble understanding how his mother can treat his father this way. Walter Jr discards his other name Flynn and wants to be identified by his father's name. Hank and his wife Marie (Betsy Brandt) believe that Skyler is divorcing Walter as he cheated on her during his cancer treatment. Hank says that the only reason Walter had a 2nd cell phone was because he was cheating on Skyler. Hank says that Walter is a classic underachiever and when he learned that he was going to die of cancer, he decided to step outside of his marriage.
Walt's sleazy lawyer-partner Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) wants him to start producing Meth again and takes steps to encourage him in that direction. Saul tells Walter that Skyler will never go to the police as Hank will lose his job, her kids will be in therapy for the rest of their lives, and she will lose the house. Walter says that he cannot be the bad person in his life. Unbeknownst to Walt, the Mexican cousins now know where he lives. Turns out the 2 Mexican cousins are related to Tuco's crazy uncle Tio (Mark Margolis), the former Mexican drug kingpin, who is now at an old age home. Saul also asks his strongman Mike (Jonathan Banks) to keep an eye on Skyler, to make sure she doesn't speak to the cops. Mike bugs Skyler's house. Skyler tells her boss Ted Beneke (Christopher Cousins) that she cannot sign off on his accounts in their current form as it points to large scale cooking of the books. Walter makes overtures to Skyler and even brings Walter Jr back home after he comes to Walter to stay with him, and still Skyler refuses to let him into the house.
Meanwhile Walter moves into Skyler's house while she is out with Walter Jr and their newborn daughter. The 2 Mexicans move into the house after him with axes. Mike witnesses this and calls Gus. Gus intervenes and asks the Mexican cousins to meet him, warding off their attack on Walter. Walter was in the shower and didn't even realize how close he was to his own death.
Jesse, meanwhile, stops by his old house and discover that his parents have had it renovated and have put it up for sale. Relations are still cool between them. Jesse finds his father at the house, but he refuses to let Jesse enter the house and also refuses to invite Jesse home for dinner. Jesse approaches Saul to buy the house from his parents. Saul was holding on to Jesse's cash on his behalf, all $480,000 of it. Saul knows that the house had a Meth lab in the basement from when Jesse used to live there, and this fact was hidden by his parents in the disclosure documents for the property. Saul threatens to sue them for fraud and manages to buy the property for USD 400,000, instead of the asking price of USD 875,000.
