Going to Africa is not an easy task for Monty Marsh. His journey home forces him to confront the horrors that his ancestors endured during the Trans - Atlantic Slave Trade, as well as brings about many questions of what it means to be Black in America today. As he discovers the disconnect between Africans and African Americans, he finds hope in simply being with his people and learning the truth about the past. Unknowingly, he is also confronted with an even larger heart ache.
