Deaf be not proud, or vain either
pjskss21 June 2011
Absorbed with how others perceive him, a vain restaurateur eschews his hearing aid, and faces the consequences. He is unable to understand what his patrons expect of him, and oblivious to the difficulties percolating with his co-workers. The one competent and cognizant person on the scene is powerless to prevent the evening's disaster(s).

I was able to attend a private screening with the writer of the piece. This script was chosen as the best submission in a local competition in the twin cities area of Minnesota. The opportunity to make this production was part of the laurels for that victory. The participants were working with a low budget, and an extremely tight production schedule. Yet they produced a brilliant piece of work. I believe we can expect great things from the cast and crew of this short subject.

I thank screenwriter Karen Frank for arranging my opportunity to view it.
