Filmmaker Dovid Muyderman is on a quest to direct a feature film about the two years he spent as a homeless teenager on the streets of Portland, Maine with his older brother Josh. By turns poignant, ironic, and lyrical, this short documentary explores the harsh realities of a seemingly stable and traditional Jewish family descending into chaos. Lighthouse: Against the Grain is as much about exploding stereotypes and finding redemption as it is about survival.
