What was once believed to be impossible has just shaken the fighting game community to its core. At the Nintendo Direct stream earlier today, it was revealed that the much beloved Marvel vs. Capcom series would be making its return to consoles after a long hiatus.
The collection included the following games:
– X-Men: Children of the Atom
– Marvel Super Heroes
– X-Men vs. Street Fighter
– Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter
– Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of the Super Heroes
– Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes
– Punisher
These games had previously been compiled together on multiple dedicated miniature arcade cabinets by Arcade1Up with multiple different variants. However, many believed that an agreement for a console release would be impossible due to licensing issues from both Capcom and Marvel. But we were proven wrong.
