I loved the show, and Martin Freeman is one of the best actors around, without him it would of been average. The torment he goes through each episode is captivating, hes in a constant balancing act between being mentally in tatters, and loving his daughter and doing anything he can for her.
I loved the ending with Casey and Marco, was perfect that she let him go as she knew she brings him down, and he has a genuine chance of escaping and being happy.
I'm just torn on him knocking at his dad's door at the end. I didn't know what to think about it. I was half expecting him to punch him and walk away, but instead he goes back to the person that probably started all his issues. Is that the point of the show? It's hard to escape? It just wasn't quite the ending I'd hoped for, although I suppose not every ending is a happy one.
