I don't like the overall concept behind this second season, it just feels forced and unnatural, but it is going to be easy to recreate the chemistry between the two leads and the fun hijinx along the way. We got a glimpse of how this is going to go though and saw a number of crazy things from a banana farm to crazed madman going after them.

The show is still funny and has a unique appeal to it, but it definitely could benefit from a little bit more originality. If everything just plays out exactly how the first season did three years ago I don't know if they'll be able to match the quality of it.

A rather unmemorable episode once more, though it's fine. Pretty much just piggybacking last season at this point, yet to bring anything worthwhile to the table. Secondary character Jaxon perhaps even had the strongest moment, talking with Lucky. That Meg constantly needs someone to butt heads with, that she cannot simply be content and he just isn't that guy. Quite a stretch tracking Meg's mother from some crafted goods worn by a random guy at the airport, come on now. Now an old roommate of Lucky's is out for revenge, it's all pretty random. Oh and take these... that'll be ten dollars kind sir.

Calling this the best episode so far is damning the second series with faint praise.

Meg and Lucky go to a farm somewhere in the Cairns area. Her mu worked there some years ago. Lucky was a DJ in the vicinity in the past.

Meg gets some information about her mother. Lucky discovers that an old roommate has a score to settle.

In the meantime, when not bickering, Meg realises that she is pregnant. She also wonders if she wants an abortion or not. Maybe the road trip will help her decide.

It does look like that maybe Lucky and Meg's mother's paths might have already crossed.

I'm not finding Meg teenage gobby squabbling that much appealing in the second series.
