And this is more like the kind of show that I think we all wanted. You had the signature comedy, but you also had a severe sense of danger and intrigue as to what lies ahead and that is what makes for good television. While I think the idea of the second season is a little bit of a reach, I now think there is opportunity for a third if they continue to delve into Lucky's past, something they may or may not want to continue pursuing.

But this was definitely good fun and I look forward to the back half of episodes and to see if they can keep up and keep us entertained for a long time to come now.

Yeah bit crazy for Lucky to be going deep into the bush, relying on a stranger in order to help track down Meg's mother who abandoned her and has joined a cult, when he's got to be there for his daughter arriving at the airport. Lucky keeps starting to explain something, then doesn't and has to go. Might as well tell Avery if he intends to stay with her, because she will eventually know, or if it's too risky stop mentioning it. Why crash Duncan's truck though, what would that accomplish, instead of just taking the keys. Just making more trouble and forcing a situation to be stranded. Though like Jaxon said, I guess that's what she wants.

I have found the second series of Upright to be struggling. This one was just meandering. It is something you watch without being invested in the characters.

Lucky and Meg are in Cairns. Once again they need to rely on random strangers to find information on Meg's mother. Not appreciating that some other have hidden agendas.

It is Lucky whose luck might be running out. One person from his past appears and he wants revenge on Lucky. He was the one who ended up in jail and Lucky abandoned him.

This was a poor episode, a bit stupid, not funny. The pathos that the first series managed to find is missing here.
