A June 5, 1953 Daily Variety article states that Exploitation Film Distributors, Inc. won over $11,000 in a legal suit against Classics Pictures, Inc., which had distributed the film in the New York area and had not given the agreed percentage of the profits to the plaintiff.
According to information in the file on the film in the MPAA/PCA collection at the AMPAS Library, The Daring Miss Jones was almost finished by 1947.
Based on the film's script, the Breen office objected to the numerous scenes in which actress Sally Forrest undressed, and did not issue the film a PCA number.
