Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • Outside of the fantasy of "Pyroland", against the members on the other team, the Pyro shoots a flare gun in the Scout's face, locks the Medic in a box using an axe, whacks the Heavy in the head with an axe, and blasts the Sniper in the face with a flamethrower, among many other atrocities. The final shot pans away from Pyroland and through a hole in the Soldier's chest, where some organs fall out, the Soldier clutches them, and falls down.

Profanity

  • When the RED Scout (on the same team as the subject of this film) is being interviewed, he gets scared and asks "He's not here, is he?" and then, referring to the lapel microphone on his shirt, "How do I get this f***ing thing off?!" The profane word is nearly completely muted.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Once again, as always, the Spy is smoking a cigarette in the opening interview.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The entire film operates on the theme of extreme contrasting of opposite presentations of what the Pyro supposedly sees as he (or it) burns things indiscriminately. From the Pyro's point of view, he is giving bubbles, candy, unicorns, and happy things to the babies on the other team, when from our perspective, he is brutally murdering them with his flamethrower and other tools. In Pyroland, "Do You Believe in Magic" plays, but in the real world, scary, suspenseful music plays with strong strings and punctuated horns.
