- Weathering the harsh elements sparks new battles between the sexes, and poor communication leaves castaways scrambling at a frustration-filled Immunity Challenge.
- Previously on 'Survivor': The men's tribe has won every challenge, and Matt and his "alliance of muscle" think they're running things. Colton, Leif, Tarzan, Jonas and Troyzan formed their own alliance. The women grew frustrated with Kat at the immunity challenge, and she made things worse by wearing her emotions on her sleeve. Kat was saved, though, when her tribe voted out Nina.
Salani: Alicia tries to comfort Kat after Tribal Council and tells her not to cry at Tribal. Chelsea tells us "all eyes are on Kat right now" and they have to look at the weakest players, even within their alliance.
Colton and Jonas come over to offer the women a place at their shelter if the coming storm -- which looks furious -- gets bad. Alicia thinks they should "tough it out."
That night, the girls are freezing and feel rain coming through their palm-frond shelter.
The next morning the women are still suffering and chilled. Chelsea says they stayed up the entire night, soaking wet. Their fire is out and they haven't eaten. The sun is showing no sign of coming up. Chelsea asks Troyzan if she and some others can go over to the guys' fire and warm up.
Kim says she has no shame going over there for warmth. She hopes it's a temporary pit stop.
Matt comes back from crab hunting to find the girls sitting around their fire, and he tells us "there's no extra room," so the days of sharing fire are "done."
Reward challenge: Tribe members will square off in head-to-head memory challenge in which a player from each tribe has to memorize the order in which several items are placed, then race to recreate the order. The first team to win five of the individual showdowns wins.
The women take an early three-point lead before Kat and Troyzan engage in a series of wrong guesses -- but Kat eventually gets it right and gives the women a 4-0 lead. Christina seals the shutout for the women, earning them reward in the form of a full set of fishing gear and a canoe with paddles.
Back at camp: The women get back to find their boat and quickly work to get their fire going again and fix their shelter, knowing the storm is coming back. They decide to go ask the guys for an ember. They get it, but Matt isn't happy about it. He says they need to get something back.
Chelsea and Alicia come back to the guys' camp again to get warm -- square in the middle of the guys arguing over whether they should continue helping the women at all. The guys mention wanting to take the canoe out to fish, and Alicia says she doesn't think so. Chelsea and Alicia are finally sent away to go get a consensus from the rest of the girls on whether they can use the canoe out.
Chelsea goes back to the women's shelter and starts to get emotional about how she would willingly give up all the fishing gear just to have one night of restful sleep before she loses it.
The next morning, the sun is out again and three of the ladies go fishing. They catch a few and they feel like things are starting to turn around for them. Troyzan sees this and says the girls' newfound confidence is going to change the way the guys feel. "We need to win again," he says.
Immunity challenge: Six tribe members will be blindfolded and paired up while one caller guides them to five bags of puzzle pieces. The caller will put the puzzle pieces together.
Bill calls for the men, Sabrina for the women. The guys get three bags before the women get even one. Sabrina is having trouble giving instructions and the blindfolded women get frustrated. The men get their fifth and final bag before the women get their third bag.
Bill starts to put the guys' puzzle together with a comfortable lead. The ladies finally get their fifth bag and Sabrina starts on the puzzle.
Sabrina seems to pick up the way the puzzle works more quickly than Bill did, but Bill has the cushion built earlier in the challenge. Sabrina pulls the women into a tie. They're tied down to the last piece, and Sabrina places the last peice first to win immunity. The men are stunned.
Matt tells us his mind's blown, but he's excited to use some of the power he's created.
Back at camp: The women are excited and don't even know where to put their immunity idol. Chelsea is happy, and says the guys are probably "running around like chickens with their heads cut off."
Colton says he's "excited" to vote someone out, and tells us Bill blew the challenge. He goes on to list all the reasons he hates Bill, and refers to him as "ghetto trash."
Colton, Tarzan, Troyzan, Jonas and Leif go off and plot their move. Colton pushes to vote Bill out, but Tarzan thinks they should vote out Matt instead, but is willing to go along with Bill. Jay walks up in the midst of their conversation and Tarzan welcomes him into the alliance. Jay says he's willing to vote Bill.
Tarzan spots Matt coming over, and Matt asks what they're talking about. He asks if his presence is destroying the strategy talk, and Tarzan says it is. Matt leaves, but later pulls Troy aside. Matt tells Troy he thinks they should come up with a smaller group of guys that can go further into the game. Matt tells Troy that he doesn't want a group full of "roosters," they need some chickens.
Troy tells us later that even though he nodded along, he thinks Matt's a jerk and he's "never" going to be aligned with him.
Troy goes back and reports to Colton and Jay about how dangerous Matt seems to be. Colton is starting to realize that Matt is "the head of the snake" and you have to chop it off.
Tribal Council: Michael says there are a lot of different alliances in the tribe. Tarzan quickly states there's an alliance of five and he trusts them. Colton tells Jeff he's "not uncomfortable" because he has an idol. He says he's going to play it because he's not going to "be a James" and leave the game with an idol in his pocket.
Colton starts to talk about how much time he spends with the women, and Jeff tells him this puts a huge target on his back.
Matt seems a little "agitated," as Jeff puts it, saying he wants to "talk turkey" with Tarzan and that he can't take what Tarzan says seriously.
We don't see whose name Colton writes down, but he whispers, "You pissed off the wrong queen," as he casts his vote.
The vote: Colton, Bill, Matt, Matt, Matt, Matt, and the third person voted out is Matt.
Tarzan asks Jeff if they can hear the last two votes and Jeff says no. Colton then pipes up, "Save those questions for me."
Matt's last words: "I came out here with big expectations and a plan to do it. ... I was probably Enemy No. 1, the biggest threat they had, and that probably spelled my disaster."
