This new season of Our Planet had already set itself apart in the first couple episodes from the multitudes of nature docs narrated by our infallible David Attenborough, with a fast-paced, sharper editing style, a commanding, diverse soundtrack, and a gorgeous color palette with cinematography that accentuated particularly striking landscapes. But the third episode, covering the tribulations of newborns and parents throughout the challenging fall months, managed to blow the first two out of the water! An abundance of particularly fascinating and unique animal stories fly by in a flash in this very pruned tour-de-force in what a nature documentary set to the Attenborough formula can be.

Stop showing baby turtle being eaten!

Warning: Spoilers
Listen I understand nature is rough. But maybe just show a few or maybe even 1 baby get killed. Not 37! That's just ridiculous. Great show . Incredible camera shots and views, but just too much child killing . Make me hate the camera people even more for not stepping in. If it's not turtles, it's zebras, or seals, or whatever..
Stop it! It's too sad!
But beside that. It's a great animal show. Very beautiful and lovely. Just sad. The earth is such a beautiful place, but the animals are sooo wild. And relentless. It's just horrible . But it's a learning experience . So take it with a grain of salt, and fast forward the horrifying parts!
