Perhaps the most puzzling aspect of . . .
tadpole-596-91825622 December 2023
. . . The Bullwinkle Show's fifth episode of Season Two is the Mr. Know-It-All segment, laboriously titled HOW TO DO STUNTS IN THE MOVIES WITHOUT HAVING THE USHER THROW YOU OUT! During this bit, Boris Bad Enough plays Bullwinkle's abusive film director. By my count, the beleaguered moose refers to this helms man twice by his initials. The second reference is to a "D. W.," clearly evoking memories of Tinsel Town legend D. W. Griffith. However, the initial remark seems to be directed to a "C. D." There's little if any record of ANY director, past or present, with such a monogram. There WAS a character actor prior to 1960 named Clive Dunn, but Mr. Dunn never directed any pictures.

America always has been fascinated by the idea of . . .

. . . having huge hulking hulls heaving along the Sidewalks of New York. But pictures such as THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW (2004) can trace their inspiration to Part 10 of The Up-See-Daisy-Yum Saga, titled A PEEK AT THE PEAK or YOUR CLIMB IS MY CLIMB. Specifically, the flashback sequence in which Captain Peter "Wrong Way" Peach-Fuzz pilots his ocean liner along Wall Street has been copied by numerous Tinsel Town action flick directors during the past 63 years. Such edge-of-your-seat excitement is par for The Bullwinkle Show's course, regular fans know. The helicopter high jinks leading into the wayward nautical vessel's mishap is simply one more example of over-the-top nail-biting suspense.

Spy Stuff

Peter Peachfuzz, due to a typing error, has become head of the spy system. He has launched ridiculous orders. However, is aware of the value of a mine, belonging to Bullwinkle, that is important to national security. The Fractured Fairy Tale is one of the funniest ones. It is Riding Hoods Anonymous, where the wolf swears to stop eating Riding Hoods and family. Remember: "Goodies." Peabody and Sherman visit the island inhabited by Robinson Crusoe and find it has been taken over by a real estate agent.
