- David Hobbs is celebrated 'America's best father' after playing on for ten seasons on a TV show that just shut down, looking forward to quality time at home. Alas, wife Amy, who raised their three kids after an acting career, is just offered to revive it, with her comatose character revived, and accepts after David objects to any suggestion he may be less able at parenting, even solo. Little Joe and Janie welcome daddy back, but inexperience proves a bitch, so even with some help from his devoted studio PA Kevin, nothing goes quite right in time. Firstborn Emily is hostile even before his firm fathering 'ruins her (love)life'. Finding their home like a war zone, Amy intends giving up her career, but David mobilizes his old studio crew to stage a perfect morning and promise it will all work out.—KGF Vissers
