There isn't much depth to the documentary. It just follows five girls - the Saturdays - as they hang out in LA looking pretty and doing "fun" things. But you don't really get to know the girls very well underneath the superficial level. It also doesn't make you interested enough to be interested them in an artist, even though that is what the documentary is trying to do. I predict that this will only have one season, and that this group will probably not launch in the U.S. The documentary does not seem stage (and I have no reason to believe that it is), but the problem is that the documentary does not aim to show the real side of this group. It would have been more interesting to see the gritty truth underneath the glamor of being in a girl group.
