Boosh meets Wade and Knuckles
skellons30 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Loved this episode - Julian Barrett was awesome channelling his Mighty Boosh-ness to create a surreal episode. It had elements of This is Spinal Tap added with bizarre rock tunes and dancing Owls!

Yes Knuckles isn't there much but it didn't matter this was great fun. My 12 yr old just laughed the whole way through and that's where this serious is aimed at.

The mix of classic slapstick, surreal moments and reflective story worked well with a brilliant ending - and include the voice of Michael Bolton!

This series has been fun and filled a gap while we wait for Sonic 3 at the end of the year.

Any chance of a series 2 - this does finish well but I want to see more of Wade and Knuckles.

Painful to Watch - Cameo by Knuckles
general-240-32531430 April 2024
This is insulting to all fans of Sonic. This must have been written by preschoolers. The focus is on Wade and his disturbed family.

The first two episodes were funny and some good moments. This one and The Shabbat Dinner were painful to watch. This episode had nothing to do with Knuckles. He had a small Cameo in his own show. The focus should be on Knuckles and his story. The mother and sister behave very strangely and detract from the story. The writers really let us down on this series. This series would more appropriately be called "The Adventures of Wade Whipple" with special guest appearance by a minor character named Knuckles.

Hilarious

The whole series is funny but this one had me stitches. Had serious Mighty Boosh vibes.

I'm not going to jibber jabber on but I need more characters to be able to publish the review, so jibber jabber it is. Today the sun came out in Britain, it was marvellous & bright. Wide panic ensued as some believed it was the end of the world. Obviously it wasn't, they're just being dramatic.

Well back to the episode, great episode, hilarious & the music was jamming. Some strong character development, humour, jousting (sort off!) And just funny.

Seriously waffling to get the characters in so I can share it.

ugh........

This was honestly painful to watch. Very painful. Other people found this episode funny... for me it was so annoying and over the top that my finger was hovering over the back button for a solid 15 minutes.

The episodes premise is Wade learning to take care of his own problems and to toughen up. But instead of it being a funny, entertaining episode, it is Wade and other random people talking for 15 minutes and a rock opera blaring for the other 6. Also, instead of handling Knuckles back story maturely and seriously, it's presented in said rock opera as Wade dances around in a Knuckles costume like an idiot.

Also... knuckles is in this episode for a total of one minute. One.

Only reason it's not a 1/10 is because I've seen worse, and because of the very beginning and very end.
