- A little daycare in central Mexico takes on the challenge of helping the poor help themselves.
- Filmed in central Mexico, CASA DE LOS ANGELES brings us into the lives of struggling single mothers and the individuals that are working to help them succeed. Centered around a free daycare center that provides a home for children while their mothers work, we observe the sensitive task that is helping others. We travel with the daycare center director, Miguel, to visit the homes of two mothers. We get to know Maria, who has developed a strong self-esteem and is looking toward the future, and Victoria, who is struggling to develop a footing for moving out of her unfortunate circumstances. As we discover that Victoria has been out of work for a month, we are challenged to ask ourselves a question. How can we help the poor help themselves?
