- TriviaThis video by Skynd incorporates anime-inspired visual elements, facilitated through the application of artificial intelligence (AI) tools. However, the specific anime dataset utilized for training the AI, in order to replicate the artistic style of the music video, remains undisclosed. Moreover, the matter of whether Skynd secured the required permissions from an animation studio for the utilization of copyright-protected anime content remains uncertain.

The first SKYND video that made me angry
I've been a fan of this band for a very long time & I usually loved SKYND & their approach to their music videos. But this one just made me legitimately angry.
As an anime fan I was disgusted with the use of the awkward & cringy AI-anime filter. I can understand that they wanted to try something different but why even bother using AI if hiring actual animators was so expensive? AI-art is VERY controversial & despised within the art community because of so much copyright infringement involved & it takes a few clicks away to find out why.
To those who don't mind the AI filter; did you know that the mental health of many animators within the anime industry is actually suffering as a result of various things such as poverty & Skynd HERSELF has stated multiple times that "mental health is something we need to talk about"? Do you even know if SKYND got permission from some studio to use AI tools to train on their anime & not even give credit? If not, there's a strong case for copyright infringement. I'm even pro-small scale AI for uses like improving medical science but this is way too far out of that.
This is a band using some unknown company's work for profit & are too lazy to even give credit, plus it's based on the true story of a female teenager whose deceased body became viral & ridiculed LESS than 5 years ago.
Even if you took away the AI-generated imagery, it still doesn't even look that good...
