Treating The Patient, Not The Accident
boblipton1 July 2020
A plummy-voiced doctor explains to a white-haired doctor that rehabilitation is as important as treating an injury, with many visual examples of the current methods.

It's one of many short documentaries produced through 1947 by Paul Rotha. You might think from his name he was one of the Hungarian emigres, like Korda, who dominated British film production for twenty years. No, he was born Paul Thompson in London; before settling into the film industry he was an artist, and probably felt that a foreign name would give him more prestige. He produced, directed and was Oscar-nominated; he continued producing, writing and directing through 1962, and died in1984, age 76.
