This is a documentary cum drama, about the political leadership of the largest democracy on the planet. It spans from the end of the British raj to the modern day India. This series has been made after extensive and excellent research and liked by majority in India including the political experts. Hosted by world renowned actor, director, producer Shekhar Kapoor and directed by Delhi based young talent Puneet Sharma, Pradhanmantri has come across as one of the landmarks in Indian television history. The show is in Hindi with some use of English.

It is aired on ABP news channel and also available via you tube. Show time: Saturdays, 22:00 p.m IST

A bold and mature attempt to decipher the post Independent India

This series contains the travel story of Indian nation after the independence and events that shaped it. Beginning from Integration of princely states into India this delves into various important issues like wars with Pakistan, impact of emergency, reservation policy, nuclear tests and many more. The best part of this series is that politics has been given a shape of critical analysis and presented in an organized fashion. Moreover objectivity and rationality are maintained in large parts of the series.

Watched season 1 recently. I wished more details that influenced a lot of things. And a focus on a lot many peoole behind the screens. Nevertheless, worth a watch
