- UCOS reopens the case of Lydia Dryden who was found strangled in her flat by her sister Katya in November 2010 after she had failed to show up for work at a nearby hospital. The evening before her death she had been to a pub with friends but left just before midnight and was found the next day. The police has a sketch of a man who was seen lurking in the area but he was never identified. Lydia had been 6 years into her surgical training and both her parents were doctors. She may have been having an affair with a married senior surgeon, Lawrence Devlin, but he flatly denies it. The police soon learn however that Devlin had a good reason to care about Lydia. The news that Lydia was once caught stealing oxycodone leads to the killer. Meanwhile, Danny is in a bad mood and unhappy as his daughter has left for university.—garykmcd
