"on the streets of london " captured my attention from the first minute with its broad sweep of London and it's western culture as seen through an optimistic young Malaysian student's eyes. Mr. Arifin skillfully and multi-dimensionally unfolds the characters while reminding each of us of our humble origins. He hints at the psyche's desires to remain true to its brilliance while struggling to be seen and recognized... all the while remaining true to the international flavor of his characters in this short but profoundly riveting piece of art and film. The closing scene is exquisite and so perfectly wraps the whole film with its sense of finding oneself fully alive.
