- Nyssa and Oliver join forces to go after the Dark Archer.
- A furious Nyssa confronts Oliver about Sara. When Oliver learns Malcolm Merlyn is alive, he suspects Merlyn killed Sara. Oliver and Nyssa join forces and go after the Dark Archer, intent on bringing Sara's killer to justice. Laurel keeps her distance from Nyssa, as she blames her sister's death on her involvement with the League of Assassins. Meanwhile, Oliver and Roy work on repairing their respective relationships.—Jiilo_Kim
- The episode opens with a furious Nyssa from the League of Assassins asking about Sara. Oliver and Roy tell her that Sara is dead and she correctly guesses it was from an arrow. Queen tells Roy to follow her.
Queen and Thea have dinner. Thea has investors who will help her buy back the Foundry from Queen Consolidated. Queen feels like she seems different, in a positive way.
We flash back to Hong Kong and Queen following target who is supposed to be a terrorist. He's informed that he's essentially a gun Waller can point at things she doesn't like.
Laurel and Nyssa meet at Sara's grave. Nyssa offers her condolences but Laurel doesn't want to hear it. She thinks Sara would still be alive if she hadn't met Nyssa and her father, Ra's al Ghul. Nyssa thinks Sara already had the darkness inside her before they met.
Queen seeks out Nyssa. He asks for her help finding Sara's killer. Nyssa tells Queen that Sara had heard whispers an enemy of the League, Malcolm Merlyn, is still alive.
Nyssa goes to Arrow HQ and briefs them on the League's relationship wit the League. They heard via Moira Queen that Malcolm was still alive. They've found pictures Sara took that confirms it. Another paper on Sara's person yields some additional information, including the name Jansen.
Laurel goes to see Lance and says Sara called her saying she was looking into something called Jansen. Lance says it was Ken Zhi Jansen, a name Lance connected her with. At this moment Nyssa shows up at the station. Laurel tells Nyssa that Lance doesn't know about Sara. Even though Nyssa thinks Lance has the right to avenge his daughter, he keeps Laurel's secret when Lance comes over to them.
The team finds out that Jansen was a Buddhist monk Malcolm helped when he was facing deportation. They tink it's possible Jansen repaid the favor by giving Malcolm asylum. They go into the residence and find a tombstone indicating Jansen died two years earlier. Nyssa comes upon Malcolm kneeling alone. He is able to elude them and escape, but not before Queen hits him with an arrow.
Queen tells Laurel about Malcolm being alive and Sara hunting him. Queen says the arrow he hit Malcolm with was laced with GPS technology. Laurel is upset that Queen didn't kill Malcolm. She thinks killing him is what Sara would have wanted. Digs logs onto the program Felicity designed to track the arrow.
Back in our flashback Queen stabs his terrorist target in the heart and takes his keys.
In present day Nyssa chases down Laurel and explains that she also loved Sara. Nyssa vows to find Malcolm and agrees that Queen should have killed him. Laurel knows that if Queen catches Malcolm he won't kill him and tells Nyssa she needs to make sure that doesn't happen.
Roy finds Thea and offers to help her get the club up and running.
Malcolm has managed to negate the GPS technology, but he contacts Queen remotely and arranges a meeting in a public place. Malcolm promises that if he sees any of Queen's associates he won't show his face. During their meeting Malcolm tells Queen it would be illogical to kill the love of Nyssa's life, given how her father feels about him. He says he came back for Thea and protected her from Slade. Malcolm admits to being a killer but swears on Thea's life he didn't kill Sara.
Queen meets Thea for coffee. He tells her Malcolm saved her the night of the siege. She pretends she thought Malcolm was dead. She seems nervous and Queen notices.
Queen tells Nyssa he doesn't believe Malcolm killed Sara. He tells her his sister is Malcolm's daughter and that's why he came back to town. Nyssa doesn't seem convinced and leaves. Digs suggests that maybe Nyssa killing Malcolm wouldn't be such a bad idea, even if he didn't kill Sara.
In the Hong Kong flashback Queen talks to Yamashiro about the guilt he feels about murdering somebody for hire. Queen starts talking to Yamashiro's young son, Akio. In exchange for some candy Akio lets him use his computer. He places the USB drive he took off the man he killed into the computer, pulls it out and demands to Yamashiro he wants a meeting with Waller. He says the reason is Ferris Air flight 637.
Back in present day Thea and Roy walks out of the club. Nyssa show up and knocks Roy out with a dart to the neck. She tells Thea she's her for her.
Roy returns to HQ and tells them about Thea. Laurel searches the police traffic surveillance and finds a large fire has been set. They believe this is Nyssa sending Malcolm a message that she has his daughter.
Arrow arrives at Nyssa compound and frees his sister. The two to fight, during which time Malcolm shows up and says the three of them need to clear up a misunderstanding. Nyssa doesn't want to hear it and the fight becomes a three-way. Queen comes out on top and has the opportunity to kill Malcolm. Nyssa urges Arrow to kill Malcolm. Malcolm tells Arrow that not prison can hold him so his only option is to break his vows and kill him. Arrow lets him leave.
Back at HQ Nyssa slaps Queen across the face for letting Malcolm go. He then tells Nyssa that as long as Malcolm is in his city he is under his protection. He warns her and the League to stay away from him. Queen assures Laurel he's sure that Malcolm did not kill Sara.
In our Hong Kong flashback Queen finally gets his meeting with Waller. He brings up Adam Castwidth, the man she just had him murder. Castwidth worked for Waller as Fyers' handler. Queen knows Waller wanted Castwidth killed because he knows she had Fyers shoot down the plane. Queen threatens to share the USB info if anything happens to Yamashiro or his family. She tells Queen that Fyers was supposed to take down the plane because of one target, Chien Na Wei. Two years ago had been Wallers' best chance to get Na Wei, and now she's in Hong Kong. Waller wants to know why.
Back in present day Nyssa swings by to see Laurel before leaving town. They agree they've bothered by the fact Malcolm is still out there.
Lance leaves Sara a voicemail on her emergency number. He says he just wants to hear her voice.
Queen and Thea have a conversation about her being kidnapped. Neither tells the other how much they know about the situation. Queen leaves and Roy shows up to check on Thea. He apologizes for not being able to stop Nyssa. They begin to make up and she offers him a job at the club as a manger. Her phone rings. It's Malcolm and she assures him that Queen has no idea what's really going on.
We see Nyssa return to the League and say that Sara is dead. She says it "appears" Malcolm was responsible. She's told that while Sara was never really one of them, if Queen vows to protect Malcolm, he "courts war with us."
