Swifties go nuts as Taylor performs live at a concert. Costume changes suggest clever editing is involved. Is this all from one concert, or more? So, it's culled from live performances, and doesn't have a story-line like we are used to. It still sparkles, she is still every bit as great, but with a little effort, filmed inserts of maybe the red Maserati with Taylor driving it pedal-to-the-metal, with just a little bit, just a tiny bit, more effort, this could have been a shinier product, but okay, I'm only suggesting, what we have here, with great lyrics, is way powerful enough as it is. Taylor is a powerful force and doesn't need any gimmicks. There's the long-limbed splendor, of course, but her voice rises above everything else and her stage presence has us Swifties mesmerized, enthralled and generally turned to jelly.

"RED" is definitely not among my favorite music videos or songs from Taylor Swift. The only thing you can really take from this one here is how big of a star she is, how people go crazy and how many tickets she can sell apparently. The lyrics for "RED" are pretty weak in my opinion and she has done much better before and after this film with her songs. Easily one of Taylor Swift's most forgettable numbers. Then again not every song can be a huge winner and she has enough of these nonetheless in her body of work. Usually her music videos tell a smart little story, but this is not the case here either obviously as these 4 minutes were recorded at a concert she gave and cut together afterward. Pretty uninspired and I do not recommend it.
