PHENOMINAL!! Worth the wait! - Bilal Lashari you beauty!
A phenomenal film it was. No less than any Hollywood film. Bilal Lashari has done it again with such editing and cinematography with an incredible action sequence. Which was bold, gore & had a fatality element in it. So many smooth, quick silent movements in it. Loved it!
One thing that always bothers me was that Pakistani films lacked proper screenplay. But finally, Maula Jatt taught everyone how to do so. No forced dialogues yet thoughtful, speak only when needed otherwise silence. Giving actors space to perform. Nasir Adib sir hats off! It was a simple old classic story yet beautifully crafted & presented.
Hamza Ali Abbasi & Humaima Malick stole the whole film. OUTCLASS!
Noori Natt's presence & his on-screen aura will hit you differently. His charming character & his beautiful calm savage dialogue. Without mercy element in him, makes you want more of him. He's not just delivering words but his whole body and facial expressions were sending the message. He is not your typical villain who was being bad for sake of being bad but more of human-like. That's how you write villain roles. Noori even overpowered Maula in terms of performance!
Daro daro daro, savage yet hot Humaima Malick. She was badass throughout the film. She was swift and smooth in her character! Her presence of mind with such dialogues and the element of not giving you the chance to think anything will give you chillz.
Gohar Rasheed yet again showed that he is no less than anyone. Played his role perfectly. Ruthless beast in a joker's face. Simply WOW!
Faris Shafi surprised us all. Bilal was right. He literally put us off guard with his performance.
Ali Azmat aka gogie. Played his character greatly and you cannot recognize him. Salute to the make-up artist. Brilliant!
Last but not least Fawad Khan, The Maula Jatt himself. Honestly had low expectations from him cuz a far different role and accent for him but he proves why he is called the star of Lollywood. Absolutely amazing!
& Yes, Mahira Khan was literally coca-cola of the film. You needed her to calm the violent aura of the film. She has done her role as she supposes to do so.
Well, Honestly Ending felt kinda rushed especially after Daro x Maula's meeting in jail. Her conclusion was felt bit off and less should have more to it. As afterwards headed straight for ending. Next time Bilal should work on that as he learn from Waar mistakes & out done it this time. I have full faith on him.
Maula vs Noori final fighttt, wow & outstanding!! Those gandsa n axe swings were epic n action was greatly choreographed. My friend even got Naruto v Sasuke fighting vibes XD Perfect ending with the dialogue "Maula nu Maula na Maray ty Maula nai marda".
Overall 9/10 but as for PK film 11/10.
