There will always be the debate of "book vs movie" which is better?
Unfortunately this isn't a fiction story that we are talking about, it's the proud history of Texas.
Key facts are being left out, and memorable moments that should be reinforced are being tossed in there as mere side thoughts instead of being main staged. The story of Texas is an amazing one regardless which side you were on and to see the characters poorly portrayed is not only offensive, but hard to watch.
At first I thought my distaste for this show was because I value my Texas heritage so strongly and I refused to stand by and watch my story get butchered, but the inclusion of plot lines that have no relevance to the main story not only detract from the glory of such an epic, but the shameful elementary skill level of story telling that is being displayed makes me thing that the Sci-Fi channel actually funded and made this show and sold it to history channel to be aired.
