How did it come to be that Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart, who are co-hosting the new VH1 cooking show Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, share one of the most enduring friendships in all of Hollywood?
They’re more alike than you might think — that is, if you were to superficially judge them by their self-styling and manner of speech, but we know you wouldn’t do that.
“My homegirl, Martha, and I have a special bond that goes back. We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends,” Snoop told the...

Saying the words "Friar's Club" without scaring away millennials who only speak in memes. Making the celeb in the chair feel honored, but just humbled enough to not jump out a window. Showcasing TV-friendly material that has enough foul language to make Quentin Tarantino blush: The comedic roast walks a whole lot of fine lines -- it's just part of the delicate mix of sick burns, underhanded compliments, and unthinkable vocabulary that makes up the cocktail. But sometimes when you shake that cocktail, it explodes right in your face. Pause to remember five roasts that did just that, and had viewers wincing between the laughs all the way.
Justin Bieber: Too Fast, Too Furious, Too Soon
The 2015 Comedy Central roast of Justin Bieber should've been a momentous occasion -- yeah, it's weird that the Biebs got roasted in the first place, but at least we can all laugh at...

Displaying a transparency that few filmmakers of his fame and / or caliber would even bother with, Steven Soderbergh has, for a couple of years, been keen on releasing lists of what he watched and read during the previous twelve months. If you’re at all interested in this sort of thing — and why not? what else are you even doing with your day? — the 2015 selection should be of strong interest, this being a time when he was fully enmeshed in the world of creating television.
He’s clearly observing the medium with a close eye, be it what’s on air or what his friends (specifically David Fincher and his stillborn projects) show him, and how that might relate to his apparent love of 48 Hours Mystery or approach to a comparatively light slate of cinematic assignments — specifically: it seems odd that the last time he watched Magic Mike Xxl, a...

On Monday March 30, we were finally given the much-anticipated Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber. The dais for this roast was an odd assortment of comedians, rappers, Shaq and Martha Stewart. Though given the amount of material Bieber has supplied over the past few years, each one of the roasters was able to bring something fresh and hilarious to the table. This year's roast was one of the most-watched roasts in the special's history. Admittedly, Justin took it all pretty well and had a few good comebacks himself at the end. Here are a few of the best jokes made against the Biebs.

Martha explained that while she was at the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber (because Justin himself requested that she attend) earlier this month, she was seated right next to Snoop Dogg, who "smoked for four and a half hours." She initially thought the rapper was enjoying cigars, but when she "started to feel a little woozy," she realized that it was, in fact, marijuana. Watch Martha explain her fun night out at Bieber's roast. - Additional reporting by Rebecca Gruber...
