A wonderful ninja/shinobi-eiga , with realistic Ninja combat, the excellent dramatic story builds momentum with an engaging screenplay and loads of exciting action. aka On Patrol has a solid cast of characters, the main protagonist is Hashizo Okawa, an outstanding actor with an incredible range of emotion and vocals to match . Set in the Edo Period, Sena Denemon (Hashizo Okawa) is a widowed father with a young son, he is an incorruptible government official, a man of highest integrity. Sena is sent out by the Shogun on an important mission to flush out corruption now running rampant in the provinces. Sena infuriates the crooked Inspectors refusing bribes and the advances of a femme fatale . Flash forward , years later, following the untimely death of his father, the son of Sena Denemon also played by Okawa has been raised in a Ninja Clan. Sena Jnr has become an expert martial artist. Never far from his mind is, a stolen map and revenge for the perpetrators of his fathers demise... An entertaining, exciting action packed adventure drama. With stunning landscape backdrops, highlighted with a great cast, expert sword-fighting and wonderful Ninja encounters & weaponry... If interested in the shinobi-eiga genre, Japanese Classic Cinema..
