Chalchiuhtotolin is an actual deity from the Aztec pantheon. In Aztec mythology Chalchiuhtotolin 'Jade Turkey' also known as The Precious Night Turkey is a god of Disease and Plague. Depicted with large wings of green feathers and silver tipped claws he is recognized as having an evil streak in him as he brings disease and sickness as he terrorizes villages.
The idea for this film was originally a half hearted joke by Writer, Bryan Forrest, but once the requirements of the film festival were discovered it soon became winning concept for the script.
The sound of the ethereal turkey god, Chalchiuhtotolin, was performed in ADR sessions by the films director, Jessica Erin Bennett.
