Good casting in mild lesbian vignettes
lor_11 March 2016
With no Bonnie Rotten or other hellcat in the cast, Jacky St. James's latest dip into the Lesbian genre is much friendlier than earlier videos.

Marquee match-up is a segment starring Penny Pax and Riley Reid, the team who have provided Jacky's meal-ticket to the big time, with her series of "The Submission of Emma Marx" features. Here they appear in a fairly cornball tale of unrequited love, which, working within the 30-minute short story format, means love gets requited in record time.

Penny is about to leave for Europe to study, and has never told her roommate Riley that she loves her. Turns out that Riley has written her a letter with the same sentiments, so once they're on the same page an outbreak of Sapphic love occurs. The two young (but old in porn years of experience) pros give a dynamic run- through notable for some strong footsie action.

Best vignette is the finale, which packs some punch compared to the routine preceding ones. It's set at the "Immoral Proposal" mansion I named after the Nica Noelle video shot there, distinctive for its oval windowed-doors and spiral staircase. The house's white-on-white decor is a perfect setting as Skin Diamond laments her lover Kleio Valentien moving out, and we watch the two make love in flashback of happier times. This segment has a wistful feeling about it, and even a subliminal message that went either under or over my head, concerning the interracial sex hook-up of two actresses united in their preference for an abundance of body ink.

There's some more foot fetish action in an otherwise desultory story of lesbian marriage starring Shyla Jennings and Mia Malkova. Two actresses who only do girl/girl scenes: Kenna James and Jenna Sativa, unite in a vignette involving some dildo action and a very weak storyline.

Funny moment occurs during the DVD's inevitable BTS bonus interview short. Jacky is chatting with her superstars Riley & Penny and mentions that she previously cast them as "brother and sister". The actresses are quick to point out JSJ's Freudian slip, wondering aloud "which one of us has the dick?". For me, this was humorous because it showed how far too many crypto-incest projects (Jacky's porn specialty if not crusade) have affected the auteur's thinking.
