The lawnmower man
Prismark1011 April 2016
James May seeing out the remainder of his BBC contract decides it would be nice to put things together. Shown on BBC4 so he can get used to lower viewing figures when his Amazon Prime motor series arrives and armed with a small film crew.

The film crew looked slightly terrified to me, I wonder if they thought he might have caught a liking to workplace violence and racism from a certain fellow presenter which cost the BBC lots of money in subsequent litigation by the injured party?

Anyhow you cannot keep a petrol-head down for long because he is back on four wheels which once put together will be the 1958 Suffolk Colt petrol powered lawnmower.

We see the lawnmower in bits and over many painstaking hours with a blow up diagram he put the lawnmower back together and sees if it works. That is it. Over the course of the programme we are educated to certain nuggets of information regarding lawnmowers, probably to keep our mind from thinking does May have some technical persons who does the actual assembly in between the cuts?

A simple 30 minutes programme but it works. Maybe May puts things together better than I could ever manage to do but it was nice to watch in a leisurely fashion.
