DOUBLE CROSSED is something of a rarity as it's a low budget indie thriller. Nothing odd about that you might think, except the twist is that this is a Mongolian movie and in fact the first Mongolian picture I've ever watched. That doesn't make it any good, as it is in all respects predictable and very ordinary, with a plot following prison, betrayal, honour, and similar themes. The shooting style is a bit like THE RAID in its depiction of grittiness but there really isn't enough action or suspense to make this a watchable film. It is interesting and unique, however.
