The information provided on this series is misleading. It is primarily a Canadian production, and it would appear little attempt has been made to complete the 'full cast & crew' section. The narrator has been completely left out of the information. It sounds like Shelagh Rogers, a Vancouver and Toronto journalist of many years experience in Canada.

learning stuff

This is a Canadian nature doc series. Each episode concentrates on a location within the Canadian Arctic. It's a discovery of the natural world of the north with a bit on the locals. It has an environmental bent focusing on climate change. There is a lot to learn about the north and it's not as well covered. There are plenty of shows about the beauty of the tropics and coral reef diving. The Arctic is harder to get to and lesser covered by these shows. It's also less colorful. The plants are sometimes pretty but the Arctic tends to be white and grey. It's a change of pace and it's something different to learn.
Monotonous

While the video is good the audio is subpar.
The music is louder then the narration, the woman sounds like she is mumbling with a paper bag over her head and has no inflection in her voice.
I watched most of the first episode but it became to dull. I won't be watching anymore.
Nice but..

Voice over

Love the amazing photography and locations. The narrator's voice is all wrong and hard to listen to. Please change it. Her voice doesn't sound as if it is synchronous. It's tone is also too high and too feminine.
Inflections are halfhearted and expressed in a high pitch. Makes this beautiful series hard to watch. I need more characters to complete this review. I don't know what to add to my previous statement.
I hope these can be voiced over so that the proper tone and inflection will be heard. It will expand viewing and would result in repeated viewing as well. I am unsure that these reviews are read or taken seriously.
