One of the realistic malayalam tv series of recent times. It has crossed 3 years already ( as of 22 december ) . uppum mulakum is a dramedy with fun filled , emotional and happy moments . This sitcom is about balachandran Thampi aka balu ,his wife Neelima aka neelu and their children vishnu aka mudiyan, lakshmi aka lachu,keshavan aka keshu, shivani aka shiva and parvathy aka parukutty . The perfomances by all these actors are very realistic . It is truly a gem for malayalam tv industry . The sitcom showcases the daily events in their lives which is presented in a very humorous way . My personal rating 4.5 /5 ***

Uppum Mulakum is one of the best original entertainers in Malayalam. I usually never watch any serials but this one I like the most. The acting of each and everybody is excellent and it has the originality at its best.I like the character of Balu and his easy go lucky attitude.. I recommend this to everybody who wants to take a break and enjoy some original happenings which has been shown in a best possible way.

Uppum Mulakum is one of the best sitcoms I've ever watched. After f.r.i.e.n.d.s it's always Uppum Mulakum for me. :) This is highly addictive. Especially for people who love family a lot!! :)) From the youngest Parukutty to the eldest Bhavaniyamma (not sure if she's the eldest though xP) I've never seen them acting in the whole series. They live in front of the camera! And the moments when we could correlate incidents from our life is just mesmerizing. <3 The only sad part is after watching every single episode I feel so bad that I grew up!!! :'((

This show is excellent, with perfect comedy!!! The characters are superb!!! Perfect combination of comedy, romance and spice!!! I watch TV only to watch this show.... Must watch!!!! I request the team to kindly increase the repeat telecast. Also upload the show on youtube at the earliest, as you take almost 36 -40 hours to upload the same. Otherwise the show is perfect and continue the good work...

As the title suggests this sitcom declined because at first most episodes were hilarious due to the performances of the leads Balu, Neelu, Mudiyan, Sreekuttan and Lechu and not to mention the kids(shiva and keshu) had lesser roles back then, later the kids became the back bone of the comedic situations and they just weren't funny enough, they just came off as cringey. This happened around episode 600 but even in the 600's some episodes were funny, it was was the 700's where the word funny could not be used to describe the show .Honestly reminds me of the Simpsons, iconic at first and then became bland.
