Rewatched this video after seeing all the Robin episodes; I think it's more amusing (And a little bit less nonsensical) having at least some previous knowledge from the original show.
Interesting how Radiohead opted for a silly video for a dark song instead of something gritty and solemn: In reality, this animation has absolutely nothing to do with the lyrics or themes from the song, having a totally random feel, as it all was part of a fever dream. (Though if you are already familiar with the Robin cartoon, this could easily passas one of its episodes)
However, it works. The contrasts between the bizarre imagery and the haunting music and lyrics works surprisingly well.
Strange how Magnus Carlsson still remains as a lesser known figure among animation circles in comparison with other 90s animators despite directing this cult-classic; I have to wonder if the poor reception his "The Three Friends and Jerry" got is to blame for this obscurity.
