This short documentary takes us back in time to the roots of Finnish history. The participants will come together to learn skills that helped build independent Finland, pass on traditional knowledge and boldly face the changing and multicultural world of future. The events have strong links with Finnish seasons and seasonal festivities. The themes of the workshops, courses and seminars will include use of natural materials, crafts and farming heritage, cultural encounters and tolerance. Music and games will be a part of the festivities. The project's operating culture can be described by the fundamental theses of permaculture, which aims for ecologically, culturally and socially sustainable life: Earth Care, People Care and Fair Share. The venue is the idyllic Koroinen farm on the banks of Aurajoki River in Turku.
