I semi-binge watched season 3 one or two episodes at a time. Overall, the level of suspense was adequate to keep me interested, although some of the acting was pretty un-spectacular. There are a few curve balls that stretch believability, such as when Nadine resigns from the FBI early in the season, but seems to carry on as if nothing ever changed. Gerald McRaney plays the shadowy villain, much as he did in Longmire, and in may ways almost seems a carbon copy, complete with wimpy son. A fair number of corpses pile up, but without the post involvement of law enforcement, a premise that is not very believable. The idea of a shadow government quietly pulling the strings of government has been done before, and there's really nothing substantially new in this treatment. An American-Asian or Hawaiian president did seem a bit of a stretch. Some reviewers don't care for the flashbacks, but they were not nearly as confusing as they might be. My overall take is Shooter Season 3 is much better than the low scores it got, especially when you look at other movies that got equally bad reviews. It's watchable, and it keeps alive the constant hope the baddies will "get theirs" (and many do).

One TV show that should have been cancelled

I loved the first season, it was fast, action packed, and everything that the movie was. However, fast forward to season 02 and 03 the action has become a much more lower pace, and more drama has been inserted.
If I see any more flashbacks in a TV show, I am going to scream. I am trying to watch this episode, but I am stopping and starting just to break up the boredom.
I have seen better TV shows cancelled, so why hasn't this?

Warning: Spoilers
I liked the movie , I pretty liked 1st season, 2nd season was much worse and of course plot and action slowed down (to spread for many seasons) but 3rd season... o boy, toddler play about toy soldiers...the best scene - police blockade where the bad guy, hardly controlling car, shoots through the window and hits policeman and tires... and after that (corrupted) cop gives explanations to Swager's wife and another assassin that he can't chase the suspect because of flat tires.... so police stays in the middle of nowhere and Mrs. Swager with assassin continues the chase.... Swager tries to commit suicide even though he know that the bad guy knows about his wife... Mrs.Swager kills professional killer... agent FBI threaten US senator... there is more scenes that are silly... unfortunately.
What happened with intelligent writers? Do they extinct?

Shooter got renewed for a third season, but it was probably a mistake. The episode had some action, but these storylines are just so ridiculous.
Why are the good guys killing people willfully too? This sets a bad example.
Hopefully this season turns around. I get that they had to wrap stuff up from last year, but this was not a promising start.
