Entertainment One UK has launched the first trailer for the animated animal adventure ‘Two By Two: Overboard’.
Noah’s ark drifts on the open seas, with best friends Finny and Leah on board. But, after weeks with no land in sight, food stocks are running low. The fragile peace between carnivores and herbivores could break any second.
After a series of unfortunate events, the kids find themselves inadvertently washed overboard – along with the last of the food supplies! Leah and fellow castaway, their new friend Jelly, are marooned on a remote island. While Finny wakes in a strange colony filled with oddly familiar creatures living in harmony – under the threat of a menacing volcano!
In a race against time, tide and terrifying tremors, Finny must rescue his friends, reunite with his family and save a whole colony from total destruction.

The 2020 installment of the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour was unprecedented: Officially, the TCAs were cancelled, but members were still able to attend virtual events organized by PBS and Ctam (Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing) in order to showcase various networks’ upcoming fall slates.
Netflix even made its way to the industry event, while WarnerMedia and NBCUniversal’s new HBO Max and Peacock streaming services finally had the chance to strut their stuff to television journalists and critics. Still, the format — with panelists teleconferencing in for panels and journalists typing their questions into a queue — made for a stripped down and uncharacteristically low-key event that boasted far less announcements than official, fully attended TCAs of the past.
Several companies made the best of the difficult situation and showcased a variety of interesting titles during their panels at the Ctam Press Tour. And as always, several corporate attendees did…...

Ariyon Bakare had his carry-on luggage packed and ready to travel from his London home to Prague where the second season of Amazon Prime TV show “Carnival Row” is filming. Then, the actor, who plays Darius, received the call that filming had abruptly stopped because of Covid-19. “I have no idea when we will start again,” says Bakare.
Elsewhere, writer-director and “Riot Club” actor Aki Omoshaybi was excited his directorial debut, “Real,” which had its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival was gearing up for release in British cinemas.
“We were going to release it in November last year, but because that’s a busy time for awards movies, we postponed it to April. We were booking with programmers and putting money into advertising,” he says.
Now, that cinema release — which was essential to streaming and ancillary deals — doesn’t look promising.

With Hollywood under orders to stay out of the office, away from theaters, off the set and especially at a safe social distance from those most germ-friendly of mass gatherings — film festivals — coronavirus suddenly has clarified a change that crept over movie culture in the decades just past.
As recently as the late 1980s, perhaps into the 1990s, releasing a motion picture was something a studio could do without getting too sticky with people. To oversimplify just a bit, the process involved a few test screenings, a trailer, some billboards and bus posters, an expensive wave of television advertising, a celebrity appearance or two on the late-night shows and a whole lot of prayer. Win or lose, a producer or executive might get through it without having shaken a customer’s hand.

An inspirational work of do-it-yourself computer animation that suggests the sky’s-the-limit potential of the medium for anyone with big ideas and a boundless amount of time on his hands (plus access to Maya or an equivalent CG super-tool), “Away” represents more than three years of imagination and labor by 25-year-old Latvian prodigy Gints Zilbalodis, who earns every aspect of his “a film by” credit: He conceived, designed, animated and scored — and what a score! — this hypnotic hero’s journey, which treats Joseph Campbell’s monomyth as a kind of waking dream.
“Away” opens with its young protagonist dangling by his parachute from a tree in an otherwise barren landscape, which turns out to be the remote end of a primordial island where physics follows a slightly different set of rules. We don’t know how this kid got there or where he’s going, but the giant black colossus lumbering toward him spells trouble.
