Why always so artsy and long and boring, Quebec recent movies
Another boring movie coming from recent Quebec scene. None of them are shown in mainstream cinema, there a reason for this. My guess is they rely on public funds, and the only remaining deliverer of funds are the government. (numbness, multicultural, etc.)
Also most of these movies rely on songs that plays, and they let them play almost the whole song...They love when we wait..for nothing. The dialogues are like this too.
They lack so much in making good scenario that the plague these movies have are all the same, they are slow and boring, and they put songs in them like as if it was some remedy, some sort of patch to patch emptiness, but they are so numb in the brain, they think it works, they think we love to waste our time watching images without words (these little emotions, are the emphasis of all of these kind of movies from Quebec).
Little emotions, are constant, but without any substantial story For example, she walks a little bit, and not emotions, and then she drink water (...) add a little emotion moment to make it longer. Now she sits, and she wait...add another 2 minutes of emotion (after the waiting) There is no end to this, this is what they want , and this is what we hate. ...Canadian funded movies, by tax payers.
Images without words....is the main problem with these films in the last 15 years. This is like a plague, boringness is wonderful in their eyes, they love that, they love that so much it's all that is coming out of these movies.
The slow pace, this is their main concern, slowing the pace. We as viewers dislike that, we hate that. We love when a movie does not have ANY slowing pace in the dialogues Quebec movies are almost all slowing pace in the dialogues, this is SO boring.
It's like as if they really love drama, more than anything, and even when it's not drama, they slow the pace anyway. Such a waste of time !
I think what's happening is they lack good ideas, they use boringness as their main motivation.
Forget that good days when Remi Girard was in the movies, with good dialogues, and with a good pace, these days are gone with this new clan of film makers that plague the Quebec's cinema.
