Amazing 10/10

The chemistry between these two characters (Mac and Riley) are amazing. I can't stress enough how much I want them to be together! SAVE MACGYVER FOR SEASON 6. Make sure to keep streaming the show in every platform but specially here.

Exciting Episode

Warning: Spoilers
This MacGyver episode is one of the most emotional episodes in the entire story involved, as it speaks of the unconditional love of the Parents for their children, and it speaks of the heroes who are the doctors, who are there battling even in a chaotic scenario with the rebels , preventing humanitarian aid from arriving, do not give up.

The episode brings a great life lesson, that we must not let greed be greater than our greatest good, which is the life of those we love, and the great message that we cannot leave pride, prevent us from forgiving that person us as much as we love hurt us in the case of Mac and his Dad.

I want to emphasize the flawless and admirable chemistry of Lucas and Tristin, simply, they achieve something I've never seen another leading couple have, this magical connection they just convey an emotion that comes from within the heart and soul, that transcends the screen and touches us in a unique way, they really are the hero couple! Their performance is Oscar-worthy and lots of applause! And this episode is worthy of applause.

Too many mistakes...

Warning: Spoilers
I am disappointed, there were too many physics and chemical errors on this one. To name one, we do breathe an air that is 78% nitrogen, it is not poisonous. Also, you can just take out the front suspension of cars with your bare hands, the springs are deadly if you do not secure them properly. I can let some things pass for the story, but this episode was pretty flawed. A cell phone is not a good fit to use as a shim to fill a gap between the frame and a coil. It is mainly glass and circuit boards, all very brittle. I will not talk about the "air tight" suit...it was self explanatory. I gave an a 5 because I am biased, I like the show, else it would have been less. Please keep it a bit more realistic, even Will E. Coyote would have had a hard time watching this one.

Bad writing and no George!!!
mapine21 October 2018
I don't know where to start here! The writing was so bad and predictable from start to finish. For some reason this was extremely boring and the tricks that MacGyver did were mostly impossible or done wrong. To be honest, without George Eads this series is garbage. If George doesn't return full time I'm not watching it. I really think the writers need to step it up a notch as there are some really good series out there with excellent writing like Seals and S.W.A.T. Also I want to point out that Justin Hires was completely wasted in this, he must have said 3 or 4 sentences. Lucas and Tristin can not carry this series on their own. Weak, episode and potentially a deal breaker for many viewers. I will tune in next week but if George isn't it in it, I'm flipping the channel.

Worst writing
michaeladams-5781822 October 2018
This was the worst writing by far. Getting car and truck parts to modify a semi. With wire to put it in! No tools to get them off of the vehicles. Just a pile of parts. Then never use it? And it only gets worse from there. They lost me with this one.

Nope

Warning: Spoilers
I do like this show, and I love Tate Donovan joining.

But, how does Riley know how to drive a semi? I'm in the process of getting my CDL and there is no way anyone is going to climb into a truck and know how to run it, especially an older one. These plot lines are getting lamer. Just like bozer's girlfriend being a pilot.

Along those lines, did Riley ever go to the 'spy school' that Bozer had to attend? It seems like she went from a simple hacker to an accomplished field agent pretty quick.

The show seems to be in a bad way
rnixon197421 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Many reviewers dislike the fast and loose science/tech depicted on the show. I can understand that type of complaint, but I have a more basic criticism. The writing itself.

The show's scripts have been less than great since the start of season 2. Nancy Kiu and the rest of the showrunners have been almost uniformly bad regarding the show's scripts. There were five or six times in this episode where Mac's coworkers said to him, "do something" or "hurry up". As if he'd developed amnesia during the episode, and forgotten about the time constraints and the kids who were in danger of dying.

This is lazy, undisciplined writing. There are better ways to convey the urgency of the situation depicted. Mr. Pearlstein was unable or unwilling to find those ways. I suspect this lack carried over to the science and tech aspects of the episode's teleplay.

The cast (aside from Mattie) is strong. And CBS has shown they are willing to stand by the show. Take some time before the end of the season and hire a better staff; there are PLENTY of available writers out there. There are video games and cartoons with better scripts than the last two years of MacGyver.

This show can be more than a "Friends" knockoff with gadgets (unless Ms. Kiu and her fellow producers want it that way, of course).
