Despite appearing in the poster, Leslie Reyna, the actress playing the Elevator Demon, does not get credit in the poster, trailer, nor the beginning credit sequence. This was done to make the viewers guess who the actress is. It gets revealed at the end, as her credit get displayed separate from the rest of the cast.
The film was produced at the Martin Sanchez Studio during production, then was handed over to Lime Street Entertainment for the post production, with Scott Matthew doing all the editing. Therefore, the film is presented by Lime Street, but not produced by it.
There are many similarities between this and Heme (Lime Street's last release). In addition to being horror films, the posters look alike (with a single image against a black background), the same composer was used for most of the music cues (Tilmann Sillescu), and the same Explosion sound effect was used. The Explosion sound effect used several times throughout this film was directly recycled from Heme.
The Film won the Best Horror Film category at the Cypress College Film Festival. Director Kevin Esparza was not present at the festival, so editor and executive producer Scott Matthew accepted on his behalf.
The changing elevator numbers was actually filmed in an elevator at the Paradise Pier hotel at the Disneyland Resort with the editors cell phone. This was done during post productions and an add on shot since there were no number changes filmed during production.
