I Got the Hook Up (1998)
Hell yeah, it sux, but so what its fun!
Yes it is bad. But its got Ice Cube in it! Make no mistake this is a pretty bad film but in that vein it excels. Parts of it are so bad you can't help but enjoy the hell out of it... lighten up people, not every film needs to be a Cohen brother's masterpiece.
Miyamoto Musashi (1954)
Epic Japanese tale retold in great fashion.
While this is a great film in itself, it really doesn't stand alone. For true comprehension of why this film is important and what makes it great one must watch all 3 parts... there really isn't much I can do to convince you to see it. If you are already on this page the you are probably one of the few who have already seen all 3 films.
Luckily for those who haven't you can get Criterion re-editions of all 3 films in the series for your DVD player and watch the series in quality not seen since the original screenings.
Zoku Miyamoto Musashi: Ichijôji no kettô (1955)
While not nearly as compelling as Samurai I, this is still a must see movie.
Every woman he meets, falls in love with him.
Every samurai he meets, meets his sword.
Truly epic in every way, just see it.
