Some nice photography but...

Absolutely dire acting and dreadful dialogue. Looks like everyone is wearing paintball if equipment.

We're going from the zombie to COVID influenced movies.

Miss.

Just awful C movie from Netflix
22 October 2021
Remember being in a shop, waiting in the queue at the counter and seeing those cheap and awful looking DVDs nearby?

Netflix is determined to keep those rubbish films alive except now they're just a click away.

Awful script aimed at 13 year olds who won't even look up from TikTok to watch it.

Hideous straight to video guff.

Acting is abysmal and the camera work a mess. No idea what the story was about. Very forgettable.

On a slight positive, music is ok and if the director worked with a professional DoP and actors he may have promise.

Dire and unfunny. Possibly the worse use of digital bits ever!
31 January 2007
The team that made the very funny comedy skit following up on the 'Pyramids of Mars' - 'Oh Mummy: Sutekh's Story', crashed and burned with this awful, unfunny and cringe inducing piece of fan made rubbish.

The impression one is left with is that they had a clear idea of what to do with a follow through on 'Pyramids' but not really on 'City of Death'.

Plus Douglas Adams 'City of Death' was a comedy, so trying to do a comedy skit based on comedy and failing so badly, makes it even worse.

The one and only hope is that they wont be commissioned to make any further items to the Doctor Who DVD range which, by and large, has become a wonderful collection in both re-mastering and interesting documentaries. Skits are best left to the professionals like Mark Gatiss and David Walliams contributions.

Terrible
10 February 2006
Truly one of the worst films in the history of cinema. Not cheesy, not silly just awful! From it's bizarre premise, to it's moronic ending it's 90 Min's of utter, utter trash.

Who green lit this film? Why? It has no drama. No tension. The acting is toe curlingly bad. The direction lack luster, the lighting like a soap opera and the music like someone letting off sonic booms for fun.

I can't understand why this was released.

Made 'The Avengers' look like 'Die Hard'.

Wes Craven has suddenly flown past John Carpenter in terms of downwards career flight path with this turkey.

Dire.

What rubbish!

I'm sorry but this was total trash. Who ran round saying this was great and scary needs help! This is NOT a scary film unless you have a very excitable imagination. No wonder the makers are stunned. So are the rest of us. Very bad example of hype and marketing gone mad. All I can say to anyone is check with your friends and see what they thought of it. 0/5

Scariest Film Ever
4 November 1999
Unlike films such as Blair Witch and Scream etc, this is a powerful and frightening vision of the nucleur holocaust. The attack near Sheffield and the aftermath made a huge impression on me. The breakdown of society was both believable and powerful. If you ever get a chance, see this movie. Be warned - it is very bleak.
