The Siege (1998)
Not Very Good
I was very disapointed with this film. I thought that with a cast with Denzel Washington, Annette Bening and Bruce Willis in the movie credits it was a sure winner. I was wrong. At first, the movie started out pretty good but after the first 30 minutes it just got lame. Annette Bening was sorely miscast in this role (why did she accept it?).
Streetwise (1998)
Good movie
I normally despise low budget films, but this one was surprisingly good. It is a story about drug dealers in Washington D.C. who do everything they can just to stay alive on the streets. The story was so well told that it really didn't matter how bad a lot of the acting was. Since it was so realistic it was like someone followed real drug dealers around with a camcorder and watched them commit their crimes.
If you want to see what it's like in some of the toughest neighborhoods in this country, please watch this movie. It has a lot of disturbing elements to it, but it's still very good.
Legal Deceit (1997)
Awful Movie
This is the worst movie I have ever seen. The story was weak and the acting was terrible. This movie is about a lawyer (Rochon) who gets romantically involved with another lawyer who likes to blackmail clients. He eventually wants her to get involved in this scam too and when she threatens to go to the police he tries to kill her.
Heat (1995)
Very, Very Good Movie
This was one of the best films I have ever seen in this decade. Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro really outdid themselves. This movie was action packed, well acted and had one of the best shoot outs that I have ever seen in a movie.
If you haven't seen this film please go out right now and rent it. You won't be sorry.
Deceived (1991)
Very Good Movie
When the film first started I thought it was going to be boring. It started out real slow but when Goldie's character started being suspicious of her husband the story got real interesting, I couldn't take my eyes off the t.v. The last part when she outsmarts her attacker was the best part (I thought). This is a must-see.
