Climate Change: Ade on the Frontline (2021)
Painful
This is terribly painful to watch.
While it is a documentary, it is also clearly scripted. With that, it is poorly acted with a good helping of breathy sensationalism.
The host is getting about in his wheelchair while the viewer is constantly being virtue signaled that human behavior is bringing about what nature is constantly enacting.
Some truly beautiful cinematography but it is routinely interrupted with swift refocus on the host. There is also the annoying trendy British pronunciation of key, frequently repeated, words such as "ruh-ZOR-sez" for resources.
Painful. Preachy. Not informative. Narcissistic.

Season 2 took 8.5 minutes for me to shut it off
I ranked season 1 with a 7. It was good and light popcorn entertainment, though I don't ever recall awaiting a Season 2 with bated breath.
I just sat down to season 2, episode 1 and it took about eight and a half minutes to be so grievously offensive that I shut it off. I do not find sacrilege entertaining. I don't understand how manifest degradation of certain groups is tolerated.
I just took a couple of moments to look at some other reviews, which reminded me that there is a mystery in this series to be solved. However, because it's been so long since I saw Season 1, I don't remember what the mystery is and now I don't much care and won't waste a moment on this horrible trash.
In Case of Emergency (2018)
Extremely distasteful and offensive
Nope. So extremely distasteful and offensive for so many reasons. If you watch it through, you will be left feeling dirty and depressed that anyone would choose to live this way. I won't be able to shake this anytime soon.
Is That a Gun in Your Pocket? (2016)
Insulting and offensive on so many levels.
I am giving it two stars because I read in more than one source that 1-star and 10-star votes are not counted, or counted with less value.
This is a truly awful movie. I thought it would be light and entertaining but it is neither.
The acting is poor and there is nothing comedic here, only cliché. Worst of all is the juvenile treatment of positions contrary to the left's point of view and their stereotyping of persons who hold such positions. It reinforces the fact that "liberals" are actually the ultra-conservative, closed-minded, intolerant persons they claim to hate and swear they themselves are not. Interesting that apparently only they can be offended; it doesn't seem to bother them to offend their fellow countrymen deeply ... and with such a low-brow, intellectually bankrupt attempt besides.
It's so bad, I thought it was Canadian.
The Scorpion King: The Lost Throne (2015)
Take it for what it is
The negative reviews for this film abound. It seems most are comparing it to the first Scorpion King, with "The Rock." Admittedly, the three that have thus far followed it aren't nearly of the same quality. But if you put that aside and just take it for what it is, it's a fun film, with some wit and levity that even had me chuckle out loud a couple of times. It wasn't full of gratuitous sex or vulgarity. It's just a fun action adventure popcorn movie. It will not rank among the best movies of all time nor is it trying to do so. I had just returned from another 7-hour chemotherapy session and this film hit the spot: Brainless and fun entertainment. If you just take it for what it is, I hope you'll enjoy Scorpion King 4 as much as I did.
