Chaos in Court (2020– )

Who's idea was it to film up the black ladies' nostrils?
22 May 2022
Just watch Court Cam, this is a much lesser quality imitation.

Also, why would you film your talking head with that angle? Did she set it up or someone else did it for her? Did they not see the giant black holes staring back at you?

Read the cringy (and clearly false) 10/10 reviews and you will understand why this movie is not very good.
18 September 2021
I legitimately have second-hand embarrassment from these 10/10 reviews.

"I was cackling, crying and so invested." No you weren't

"We lived, laughed, and loved." Similar wording as previous review

"Authentic Millennial Fairy-tale" People speak like that? In real life? Out loud?

"When Harry Met Sallry for the Millenial Generation?" no lol

"18-25 year old will love this" That's a very specific age range

"I, like most 18-35 year old movie viewers" We'll see if you really speak for them when actual genuine reviews start coming in.

"The perfect movie for anyone in the 18-35 year old demographic!" Mentioning that demo AGAIN.

It gets better "Me and my very large & diverse group of 18-35 year old friends" haha you loooove mentioning that demo.

"A Must Watch for Millennial and Gen-Z Viewers!" You can feel the desperation.

"A TRIUMPH FOR ALL DEMOGRAPHICS!" Oh we've expanded on the demo now

"I saw this film with several of my 18-35 year old friends" Oh we're back to the specific demo

"This work of art is an honest representation of life that me and all of my (millennial/gen-z) friends have been craving to see in the age of technology and swiping right." Word vomit

The words "authentic" and "millennial" are used over and over again.

One username is literally "millennial_queen" and only has 1 review lol.

Thanks for the laughs, and by that I mean the sad, sad reviews and not the movie itself, which was horrid.

Wrestling is back with crowds and better than ever. Fantastic show with plenty of long term storylines, a variety of match types and a fantastic roster. There's something for every type of wrestling fan. AEW plays well with others such as Impact, NJPW, AAA, NWA, and that's just the beginning. The future is bright and full of endless possiblities.

Lake Mungo (2008)

One step forward, two steps back.
17 July 2021
One of the reviews here did a great job explaining what's wrong with the film. They had three great points:

The first "plot twist" regarding the footage ruins the movie build, it serves no purpose and deflates any sort of tension you were feeling up until that point.

The second "plot twist" regarding her secret also has no purpose, it doesn't move the story forward and just gets dropped and not brought up again.

The movie title, why call it Lake Mungo when around 10 minutes is spent at that actual location, and it's pre-smart phone potato quality footage.

The movie is more of a "documentary obituary" to the person that passed away.

Souless, vomitous, mass. The entire movie is an algorithm.

Other reviews do a much better job at explaining why.

This is the perfect movie. There are longer reviews that do a great job of summarising why.

Funny but sad.
20 May 2021
It's sad that flat-earthers, Qanon, anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers exist.

They repeatedly debunk themselves and just gloss over the fact that they debunked themselves. "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result."

They are not challenged by the filmmakers, that's one thing I would've liked to have seen. I also would've liked to have had imposter syndrome / dunning kruger explained more thoroughly.

The most boring whodunnit ever
20 May 2021
Mum chose this movie to watch because the title sounded interesting I guess. I realised 5 minutes in it was a Hallmark type movie attempting to be a thriller.

Anyways nothing happens for 1h20m, it's literally a family sitting around in a house arguing. The final 5 minute climax doesn't make any sense and it then it just, ends.

I tried really hard to like it, but it reeks of CW stank.
11 May 2021
I watched 10 full episodes of this show, hoping it will get better, but I can't do it anymore, I can't keep forcing myself to watch it.

I was a fan of the original, however this show does not follow the procedural nature of the original. You know, the type of show where there's a crime, it is investigated and solved within the same episode.

Nah this show sometimes does it when it feels like it, but 80% of the time it is a sappy CW teen melodrama drama about his entire family that the audience doesn't even care about. Like seriously, who care about his parents? His brother? His kids? His teen kids are annoying. One time he had a deep and meaningful text conversation with his daughter while they were standing in the the same room! I'm not making this up!

It's so damn slow you'd think it's a soap opera, like Days of our Lives. Seriously, I tried, but I couldn't bring myself to care about any of the characters.

It was okay
3 May 2021
  • The CGI was pretty bad for 2021, I wonder what their budget was?

  • Not enough MK characters, missing one the most charismatic ones, whom only gets a passing mention in the end
  • I kept waiting and expecting the 'climax', it briefly happens in the end, didn't feel like a climax.

  • The end fight scene with sub-zero was cool
  • Most of the other fight scenes were missing something, not sure what, they didn't feel 'satisfying'
  • Great to see an aussie lean into the accent as Kano.

The meme culture jokes are already outdated
2 May 2021
Hooo boy, this is a strange one. There are unusually positive reviews saying 10/10 movie of the year, and it makes me wonder if we saw the same movie or are they bots?

You see, the problem with making a movie based on 'trends' is that by the time the movie comes out, the jokes are already old. This movie is so forgettable, I forgot it's name like 3 times, and I already forgot most of the story, it was so bland.

Did they rip off Pig the Pug?

I'm a fan of the creators and producers (Gravity Falls and Spider-verse alumni) so I don't understand why this movie didn't hit the right notes with me, I wanted to like it.

Janet brings down the whole show.
15 April 2021
I have seen every episode up to S05E13.

Janet is TWENTY years old in the pilot, yet through the entire series she acts like a ~14 year old girl. She is childish, extremely sheltered, stupid, suffers from verbal diarrhoea and is just generally annoying.

I would've liked this show so much more if they portrayed Janet as an actual teenager. So we are at season 5 now, how much time has passed since the pilot? Couple of years? So she's currently in her early 20s, it's time for her to grow up.

Fresh off the Boat is so much better, the dialogue is so sharp, the secondary characters are fantastic and the storylines are much more interesting than Janet and her roommates' dramas.

Loved the TV series but this movie is pretty awful

It felt like a weird zombie version of the TV show. I really didn't enjoy it, the interactive part was unnecessary. Two thumbs down.

Same sentiment as many other reviews, it may be a CW show but it doesn't have that CW feel. So far so good!

Cringey
28 January 2021
A family member is obsessed with little people shows, so I have seen most of them. This is probably the worst one. The family don't do well in front of the camera, they are unnatural and fake and seem uncomfortable. They clearly act it up for the show and try to make the most mundane and boring parts of their lives more interesting than they are.

The Little Couple and Little People Big World are on another level. Watch those if you want to see more genuine and sincere families.

Extremely condensed version of the story
6 December 2020
The TV episode is only 40 minutes long so they were never going to be able to include everything. The older sister Jacquelyn doesn't get mentioned and she's just as important as Terra. I recommend the podcast and the TV series with Eric Bana to get the full story.

To the reviewer who wrote "too political", what? what exactly is too political about it? back up your claims boomer. The story is based on Amanda Knox's story, that's it. The other reviewer is an imbecile.

Apparently you don't need meteorology to predict the weather, all you need is faith and looking at flowers? Awful even for Hallmark. Bad acting, bad storyline, there was no chemistry or charisma. There's better ones out there.

This is the most cringiest true crime tv show I have EVER seen. Just read everyone else's reviews, they describe what is wrong with this show very well. Whoever write the scripts for the show and approved it need to be fired.
